The World's Fastest Christmas Cookie Recipe

This is for all of you fathers out there being pressured to make something for the Christmas party. Listening to the wife nag at you for hours is finally solved. :P

Here's the fastest way to make Christmas cookies that I have ever seen and they taste great! Although it seems that when I make them, some how, they multiply and I get more than I set out to make. It's a mystery.

Try them with all kinds of different kisses. Beware, different kinds of kisses melt at different times.

Ugh Christmas is getting so Close! I can almost Taste It. :D

If you have any Christmas Recipes of your own feel free to leave a comment I will be sure to feature it in my next post.

Christmas Chicken Wreath Recipe

 Pretty darn unique!

This will make a beautiful show on a green or red platter or a clear one with red/green decorations. Makes a good centerpiece. Has to be a little browner than picture so moved time from 25 to 30 minutes in oven. Just follow the additional pictures.
Prep:30m Cook:30m Servings:10

Ingredients
  • 2 cans Philsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 5-oz. can white chicken meat, drained
  • 1 cup brocolli florets, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup (don't add water)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • Put these ingredients in a bowl and gently fold in.

Directions

Arrange your triangles in a big star
Stoneware is not essential.
You can use a plain old flat cookie sheet, but I think stoneware cooks things more evenly.
Now you are going to roll it out a bit flatter, so that you don't end up eating blobs of uncooked crescent roll dough (not tasty).
Make sure you still have a hole in the middle when you're done. Also, don't worry about rolling the points, just the center.
Now you're going spread the filling
Finally, wrap your points the the center, brush a bit of egg white on the crust, and put it in the PREHEATED oven @350 D.F for 25 to 30 minutes.

Tradition Christmas Eggnog Recipe

One of my favorite Holiday treats. Seems to be relatively easy to put together and takes very little time! To be honest I have yet to drink an alcoholic eggnog mixture to this day. Maybe its time to give it a try!

12 eggs, separated
6 cups milk
2 cups heavy/ thickened cream
2 cups bourbon
1+ ½ cups sugar
¾ cup brandy
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg

In a large bowl and using a mixer, beat the egg yolks together with the sugar for approx 10 minutes (you want the mixture to be firm and the colour of butter).
Very slowly, add in the bourbon and brandy - just a little at a time.
When bourbon and brandy have been added, allow the mixture to cool in the fridge (for up to 6 hours, depending on how long before your party you're making the eggnog).
30 minutes before your guests arrive, stir the milk into the chilled yolk mixture.
Stir in 1+ ½ teaspoons ground nutmeg.
In a separate bowl, beat the cream with a mixer on high speed until the cream forms stiff peaks.
In yet another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture.
Gently fold the cream into the egg mixture.
After ladling into cups, garnish with the remainder of the ground nutmeg.

Serves: 8.
